A few years ago we picked up an ottoman from Target that I liked at the time, and have grown to absolutely love. It is, of course, a respite for weary feet. It serves as a mini table for rolling “slimy worms” out of playdough by my two-year old. It is a resting spot for my New Yorker and throw blanket – the sight alone of which immediately relaxes and delights me. It is an extra seat when the room is full of guests. It adds the perfect splash of yellow to our living room, and it is an elbow rest for my little one as she pages lazily through books that she lays upon it.
This pretty little accent to our living room is a dear little part of the relaxing hours of our lives, and the overlooked moments of joy it brings are abundant. It’s been lovely taking a few minutes to reflect on (and appreciate!) them. xoxoxo
